We're just camped at opposite ends of the canyon in. Caboose: My turn! Washington: Please, be quiet. Washington: Your quarters are fine! Grif: Yeah! Now get out of the tank, you senile old- Fucking son of a bitch! Sarge: Finger slip. Besides, we need it to upgrade our quarters. Sarge: Not a chance, Blue! Possession's nine tenths of the law, the other tenth is a tank, I've got both.
Washington: Sarge, get out of the tank. And if we're not rescued soon, I have a feeling something else might find us first. The Freelancers, the A.I., even the Director of the whole operation, they're all gone. Together, we were able to put an end to everything. Sarge: But you don't even know what the proposition is yet! Caboose: Well then, we don't know that it isn't fuzzy then, do we!? Washington. Tucker: "Proposition" just means a choice, you idiot! Caboose: Oh. Caboose: Tucker! The Reds gave us a proposition! We should really send them back some sort of thank you basket, like. They were cannon fodder in a conflict with no purpose. Sarge: Hey, Caboose! Caboose: Hello! Sarge: We've got a proposition for you! Caboose: For me? Oh well, you shouldn't have! Washington: They had been used by the Freelancers just like I had. I didn't think I could believe in anyone anymore. Everyone fought over the remnants of Project Freelancer.

Eventually, it was the project's own creations which tore it to pieces and I was the one sent out to pick them up. The men in charge were corrupt and the soldiers who followed them were blind. Everything can be traced back to Project Freelancer, a military organization gone horribly wrong.
